10am update – starting weak

US equities begin the week on a broadly weak note… but there are signs of an opening upside reversal. WTIC $77.64. Gold $2679. Silver $30.24. USD +0.3% at 109.78.

Summary

*Trump gap FILLED.

With last week’s low of 5807 having been taken out, last week’s weekly bearish engulfing candles have played out. On balance, we should floor, and lean upward, although I’d accept an OPEX pin around 6K looks a stretch, unless CPI data (Wed’) comes in much better than expected.

*I’ve picked up SMR from the mid $18s.

notable stock: NVDA

Lower with the main market, with momentum turning negative.
The bold will be buying.

notable weakness: MRNA

Weak outlook for mRNA shot sales.
I guess they’ll have to re-ramp ‘Operation fear’.
Daily momentum has turned negative.

notable car: TSLA

Just lower with the main market. Cyclically … VERY low.

notable energy: SMR

I’m onboard from $18.58. I’d like the $22/23s.
