Summary

SPX: I’d note the upper bollinger stands at 5329, as the 5300s look realistic in early April. Weekly momentum is slowly weakening, and should stay positive into late April. My only concern is a geo-political wild card.

WTIC: a positive start to the week for oil, helped by the weaker dollar. April should offer a push toward psy’ $90, and that won’t need anything ‘Krazy’ to happen.

What Climate Change Zealots Refuse to Listen To

As ever, Armstrong is highly recommended.

Back in July 1986… I was thirteen, and reading books on meteorology and climatology. I was aware of Milankovic, but my geography teacher sure wasn’t.

Even back then, I always had a passion for understanding the grander trends, rather than the day to day changes. I wanted to know the past, to help me understand the present, and offer a look into the future.

I was an unusual teenager, I wasn’t the smartest in my class, well, except for climate science and economics/finance, where I was borderline prodigy. Life just never took me in that direction though, as I ended up in the academic halls of psychology/therapy, but then I got tired of the ‘crazies’, and returned to end up writing about the market… for you.

Being half a century old, technically I should have another quarter century left. Yet… its very difficult not to see the species largely destroying itself via nuclear fire. Frankly, if I’m still alive by year end, I’ll be somewhat surprised.

… as many of the European states are increasingly talking about sending troops into the Ukraine. 100% INSANITY.

Its certainly been a proxy war for the past two years. Whilst the USA will be reluctant to send troops, the European nations appear on the edge of announcing it, as a nuclear exchange of some degree appears an eventuality.

Its a huge underlying issue, but suffice to note, the broad societal C19 related ‘trauma’, is one reason why this can’t be compared to the cold war of the 1980s. Now… we’ve the bulk of western society who appear blood thirsty for war, not least those Gen’Z/Millennials.

I’d accept that if Trump is re-elected… western relations with Russia would be inclined to improve. That of course… assumes there will be an election, which I shall remain skeptical about.

3 Body Problem

Sunday evening I watched the first two episodes. I have to say… I’m impressed, and I do recommend this eight episode Netflix series. I’ll continue to post some pics via Twitter, but they should all be non-spoiler generic shots.

Some of the show appears to have been filmed just a mile to the south east of me…

… looking due east, from the southern end of Hampstead Heath.
