It was another day of mostly weak leaning chop, the SPX settling -20pts (0.5%) to 4493. Meanwhile, WTIC settled -$1.16 (1.7%) to $68.14.

sp: As things are, we’re still only net lower for the week by -0.9%. Momentum is due to settle negative, but really… do we have to break a new hist’ high every single week?
wtic: a very mixed day for oil, printing $69.89, but swinging to the $67s, rebounding to the $69s, only to see another wave lower to the $67s. Today’s weak main market sure didn’t help. A weekly settlement >psy’ $70 looks out of range… but its certainly realistic next week.

All that is missing is ‘build back better’. Many of you recognise those three words merit alarm bells, as some are striving hard for a dystopian horror. For those in Australia and New Zealand… well, they already have it.

Maybe the signer on the left is a ‘nice’ person. But its clear… she is twice the size she should be, and a prime candidate who would likely keel over if she caught ANY kind of virus.
Its remarkable that since spring 2020, not one world leader has said ‘lets use this as an opportunity to improve our health, eat better, and be more active’. Instead, here in the UK, I’ve actually seen a resurgence of the ‘healthy at any size’ notion this year. Absolutely… gods damn crazy society/species!
